Hi everyone!  My husband just arrived at RTC on Feb 10 and I'm already struggling with him not here.  I'm not one to pour my heart out so publicly like this but I decided to go for it since I'm having such a hard time and I know I'm not the only one!  I feel like I'm taking this harder than I should...it's definitely harder than I thought it would be.  Just 2 months ago I miscarried our first baby and that's still hard to deal with and now that I can't talk to my husband at all, I feel lost.  I don't really have any questions right now, but I just wanted to get it all out and share my frustrations.  Any words of encouragement will be appreciated!! Thank you!!

Hey sweety! Keep your head up. I'm so sorry for your miscarriage, and your husband being gone. My advice would be know that he thinks about you! He knows you're there, supporting him from afar. He still loves you!! With anything military, no news is good news! Do you have any hobbies? Close friends? Keep busy! Before you know it it'll be graduation time!

Im so sorry for your loss Nicole. I cant even begin to imagine how you feel but please know that this is a great place to turn to if you need to vent... cry... scream talk.. or just have questions. I am very new to the Navy-Wife life and I must say that being away from my fiance is MUCH harder than I ever expected it to be. But with good groups... friends and family it works. I cant say that it gets easier because even when my sailor has to leave for a week I cry. But with the right support it just helps.  Feel free to message me anytime... the best of luck to you.

I'm incredibly sorry for your loss Nicole! My boyfriend left on January 12th, and the first few days were surreal. It's really so surreal and almost like feeling in shock. I've heard it like this, "The days are long, but the weeks are fast". My guy graduates in a little over 3 weeks. I've been through all the emotions, including crying myself to sleep. I've kept myself busy with work & trying to exercise all the least 3 days a week. I also do my best to make plans on my days off. It still feels like something is missing, but it gets easier to handle. Feel free to message me for anything! You've got this!
Hey I know I will feel the same way next month when my husband goes. But we are all here for each other. Your husband is doing something good for the family and good for the country. Everything we do in life is for a reason and we all sacrifice for love and trust. You will make it because thousand of spouses have made it before you and thousands more will make it after you just like I will. Keep your mind open look up to the stars every night and tell your husband I love you. I know me and my husband have picked out a star and every night we will look at to see each other so that was we know we're close. We always here for you.

It will be over before you know it! I thought I was prepared when my husband went to great lakes, but it was soooo much harder than I thought. We had a miscarriage about four months ago as well, so if you need to talk, feel free to message me. Its still hard to think about, and we haven't had any luck getting pregnant again yet either. Hang in there! :)

I am so sorry for your loss, that is a difficult thing to deal with. With him in boot camp, I can't imagine going through it without him.   Reaching out is a good thing, I hope it helps you.

If you  need to talk to a professional counselor about your loss, you can use MilitaryOne.  They are for families too, and sometimes just talking to someone who understands is a good way to make it through.

Thank you all for your advice and encouragement!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the time you took to reply!!! It really helped!

I'm so sorry my dear!  I'm having a hard time too...I just start crying when something strikes me,  My daughter sprayed his cologne in the bathroom last night because I left it on the counter, but it just made me cry. I'm not sure how to deal with his not being here either...I know exactly what you mean about feeling lost.  I write him letters every single day, but I still feel incredibly lonely.  I can't imagine how difficult this must be so close after your miscarriage.. I very much want to give you a hug.  Please let me know if you want someone to talk to.  I cannot relate to your extra circumstance, but I can sympathize.
