Welcome Coolleigh11. AntiM will be able to answer all of your questions and add even more answers than you asked. She just had surgery and might not be able to answer for a few days. She has answered these questions before on this site, you may be able to search.
I will answer some of the questions.
You need to be on his orders to travel with him and live there. Since you are not married and he has his orders, you are not on them. In order to be on orders he must be a certain rank (E4, E5???) I am guessing).
His pay will not change when he marries, but his benefits will change. He will have paperwork to fill out.
Medical/Dental: There is a monthly fee he must pay for family members. There are co-pays. If you are not with him or near a base, there are rules to learn.
If he gets BAH it will increase. When my son first lived in Japan he was single. He could not live with his then Japanese girlfriend (now married) until he was a senior E4. He did not receive BAH until he was an E5.
There is a way to get put on his orders after you are married but you will probably have to wait until he is a higher rank. AntiM will know.
You cannot just move there. You can visit. But you will have to pay your own lodging and Japan will only let you stay for 3 months.
Another question for AntiM is about the rules for getting married. Is he allowed to get married on leave without permission from his commanding officer?
