Hello,
I’ve recently seen a post talking about the Flat Rate Boxes for Military but I can’t seem to find it. Any information would be greatly appreciated and thanks. I just picked up a flat rate box for nine dollars and some change or just under ten dollars. (When the package is ready to send off I will pay at that time along with the form that needs to be filled out and turned in.) The next available size up would be about another dollar but they were out of them. The larger size would have been better but I’ll pick that one up the next time. What are the lists of contents I may or may not send? My son recently left for his first deployment and would like to send off his package in the next couple of weeks.

The $9 or so was for the postage for the box. The post office gives the boxes out FREE!!!
I would try "googling" the US Postal Service. There should be a link there for flat rate boxes.
They do have special ones that say something about supporting the troops. These boxes are for everyone everywhere - not just the military. When you get them they also give you a roll of cheap tape - that is a pain - and some custom labels. You have to use the custom labels when mailing to a APO or FPO address. You don't have to have them on there is mailing to a stateside base.

Do not send smelly things like lotions and soaps in the same box as food. The food takes on the taste of the smelly things!!! Hope this helps!!
Call the USPS phone # 1-800-610-8734 and ask for the military pack. They will send you priority mail boxes in 2 sizes, tape, labels and customs forms. It's all free, you just pay the flat rate of $9 (?) when you send it, no matter how much it weighs. They'll also give you an ID number that you quote them if you need to re-order. You can pick up a box at the post office too, but I found having a bunch of boxes on hand was very convenient.
Thanks for everybodys help, I appreciate it.

Yeah, on the first pkg I am going to ship off mostly snack items such as beef jerky & stix, crackers, cookies, nuts, some hard candy. Never thought of mini games and I believe he stocked up on enough socks, shirts and whatever else he needed to take care of before they left. Will also add one of those mini books from the bookstore on Mom's & Son's or one on Son's. Wow, now I can't wait to get it sent off!

Thanks again, Karen.
