Hi

Yes, son leaving in June. Days are going too fast.

Hey there, My son is leaving June 21st

Hi My son leaves June 22nd for bootcamp. We are leaving on our potentially last family vacation in 2 days. Hoping to make some lasting memories on the trip. I will be a nervous wreck when he leaves as he is my "baby". So much info on this mom's group, almost overwhelming.
Hi, yes the whole navy journey is overwhelming, I'm dreading the 15th when my son leaves, i kinda want it to come already so bootcamp can start and be done.
They will be great. My son is working on his 5th year. Today he messaged me from Japan at the atomic site of bombing 70 years ago. My father spike of it many many times. He has been gone now forv24 years. I was pregnant with my sin when he passed. There is much to see and learn for our adult children. They will all do well!
Excuse those spelling errors!!! Just not me!
My son left June 2 and I am dying!
Aww, that's exactly how I'm going to feel on the 14th when my son leaves....I'm so dreading that day. But it's something my son needs to do, can't hold on tight forever.
My son leaves tomorrow. This is our last evening together with all 3 kiddos for a long time. The day has passed too quickly. We had a wonderful Anchors Aweigh party yesterday. Made some wonderful and loving memories for all of us. Prayers for a safe journey to San Antonio tomorrow and on to Great Lakes Tuesday.
I am at MEPS as we speak waiting for my son to swear in in less than an hour. I am sooo happy for him but also having a very hard time with his leaving. I'm very proud of him and know this is what he wants and is good for him but I'm a mom and I will miss him terribly. He has been in DEP since January and wasn't supposed to leave until July but got moved up. Good luck.

My son has his swear in on Thursday .I am having a hard time with him leaving also .I know it will take everything I have to not be sobbing and holding on to his ankles Noooo don't take my baby ...jk I promised I would not make a scene .Stay strong and be supportive ...

How long did the swearing in take? Ours is this Wed. Do you get to talk to them before or after the swearing in???
