My son left on June 7 and I got "the box" today!!!!

My son left for bootcamp on Tuesday June 7. I received the box of his stuff this morning. I was so excited. He sent his bible back and both watches he took. One we knew he could keep the other was a little bigger so we thought he might not be able to keep that one. His bible was a small New Testament. I figure he forgot it was in his backpack. Oh well, I'll send it back to him if he asks for it. Anyway, now just waiting for the form letter. So excited.

wow you got your box fast!!!! my son left on June 1st and we didn't get his until the 10th. i can't wait for our letter either. i hope we get it this week. fingers crossed. I really want a phone call but i know we will not get that for at least another week or two. miss him so much.. :(

My son left June 7th also and his box and form letter came today too!! So thrilled just to see his handwriting on the envelope!! Can't wait for graduation June 29!!'
Wish his form letter had come too. Still waiting on that. Hopefully his is July 29th too. I'm sure you meant July not June. Lol. I wish it was June. Lol.

He can get a New Testament/Psalms and Proverbs at the RTC. Some send back watches not realizing that they can keep them--he would have had to send back one because no one needs two at the RTC.

The one he wore is the one he actually wanted to keep but we thought was too big. The one he took was very small and his recruiter thought was fine. We figured he would keep whichever was allowed and send the other back so that wasn't a surprise but no big deal.
Still no form letter today but it is still early I guess. Guess 8 days but only 7 days for mail. So I'm stalking the mailman. Lol

I know the feeling about stalking the mailman... LOL we just got our letter last night and i was so happy to see his writing!!!! his graduation date is July 29th i am sooo excited !!!! now time to book my flight and rooms... i wouldn't miss this for anything. I am so proud of him. i can't wait to see his face again. All of my family and friend have been asking for the address so i know he is going to get a lot of mail.. LOL  Remind him that he has a lot of family and friends that are supporting and loving and missing him back home... i am floating on cloud 9 now that i have this information to write... hee hee ok back to work... your letter will come soon... :)
