Hi my names Barb Pruitt, I currently have a Daughter Amanda ( mandy ) on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, she graduated last August. And a son Christopher in boot camp graduating March 21st. Div 114 Ship 14. YEAH can't wait, I come from a huge military family Father, Aunt, Uncles, Father in law, Husband, Daughter and now Son. I think at last count we had 19 family members that have been in the service. All services ( Navy is my favorite) We traveled all over the world, while my husband was a Seabee ( he has been out for about 18 yrs) my favorite place we lived was Bermuda where our daughter was born. All of our kids will have wonderful opportunities to travel get an education and meet wonderful friends they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Trust me I know, we have a band of seebeas that decend on us every summer. GO NAVY and God Bless all of our Sailors, their friends and shipmates.

Hi, there!

I live in Soldotna and my daughter is stationed in Norfolk. She just deployed Friday, and I feel so alone and so far away! Is your daughter still in the Navy? I swear, I wanted to get her so much stuff at Rondy this year, but then I have to remind myself where SHE is and where I am! She is NOT on the Time Bandit, their summer isn't OUR summer (poor them!) and cookies from the Moose is Loose will be boat anchors by the time she gets them - IF she gets them! LOL!
Hi! My name is Donell, and my son Derek left for boot camp on Monday.
Welcome Donell! Good luck - and just let usknow if you have any questions. I've been doing nothing but living on the websites to get information - lol. I used to live in Tulsa and my best friend lived in Broken Arrow for years.
Welcome Donell,

How are you holding up? My boy left 2/21 and the first week was so hard for me. Its been 16 days and its gotten better, still waiting for a letter from Cameron, hoping today. This website saved me so you came to the right place. I feel like these women are my best friends and I have never met them. Linda
Hello all
My name is Lorianne, I'm in CA and my daughter, Emilie, left for GL on 2/20. She is Ship 09 Div 154. I believe the expected grad date is 4/18 but as half of her division was delayed about 4 days it may get pushed back a week. As soon as we hear a firm date we will buy tickets.
We were back there in October for Em's boyfriends graduation and we stayed at the Ramada in Waukegan (sp?) We will be looking to stay a bit closer this time. Suggestions?
We received our first letter(s) from her yesterday. She is doing well and has been placed in the position of division section leader.
Anyone else have a child in her ship/div?
Hi Lorianne,
My son Cameron left 2/21 he is in Ship 9 Div 153 so pretty close. I have not heard of a graduation date and haven't received anything but the form letter. I am hoping to hear from him soon. I am planning on staying at the Navy lodge, its easier for the recruit apparently and the families I have heard. Its about $62 per night, not a swanky place but close.
