Be sure to make the changes below. It is not a good idea to have your email address openly visible every time you post or are on the site.
Don't forget to make the changes below.
Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).
Since your Username contains your email address, also make changes 1 and 2.
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your Sailor.
Since you have a Sailor, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." You can make that change on the same page when you change the ZIP Code.
You may also want to check out Amphibious (Gator Navy), families with a sailor at Little Creek Viginia, Duty Station NAS Oceana, VA Beach VA, and/or Norfolk Sailors - Family & Friends. Check out http://wavy.com/category/news/military/ for news from the Norfolk area.
What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty)? There may be a group for that as well.
Welcome to Heads at Ease! Your adventure is just beginning. My son is now a Navy vet after serving for 5 years.
