OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son graduated in September, I remember the most exciting time was during the pass in review (PIR) ceremony, when the "garage door" opens up.  The crowd goes WILD!

If you have any questions, I'd love to help.  I'm a Navy veteran myself.

Please like my group on facebook LINK, I'm just starting out and would love the support.

I also support “calls for recruits” from products sold on ETSY if you order soon I ship next day!

If you are traveling, wishing you a safe journey.

If you can't travel; be sure to watch the video link, it's the next best thing.

I think we are the same. I was thrilled to talk to him for 17 minutes last Tuesday. I missed his call the Sat. over 2. weeks ago. Last Sunday we talked for 5 min. And he had 5 min. with his girlfriend. He told me that a lot of guys in their Div. don't want to be there, thus phone privileges revoked or minimized.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Cathy, what does that mean about owing 144 minutes? An a higher up spoke up for them? My SR said by a miracle he got to call me yesterday. Neither of us were expecting that.
