Robin!!!!!  I got a letter today!!  He sounded so good and said that your son is one of his better friends in the division and thought is was cool that the Moms were communicating.  He said that they can now send letters on Tues, Thurs and Sundays.  They are in the middle of Hell week (letter was dated 2-9) so I guess it's over now.  Best Valentine's day gift ever!!  A great letter from my boy!!

Robin, I haven't heard anything.  He sent several letters to his girlfriend, friends and one of my friends last week but none too me, that's just messed up.  I hate going to the mailbox.  I would give anything for a call.  My son is Corpsman, what is yours?

Oh man thanks for the info!! I'm just soaking everything up! :)

I'm on the verge of tears constantly today with this weather...I've lived in the Midwest and I know what these things are like...I would give ANYTHING for just a 3 minute phone call just so I know he's okay. :/

I'm so happy you heard from your son though! Keep me posted!

Hey FLA! Don't worry, I haven't gotten a call yet either other than needing a copy of something faxed up there...I definitely know what you mean though about almost losing your mind. Just think that every day that you DON'T hear from him is another day that brings you closer to when you WILL hear from him. That's honestly the only thing that's kept me from having a complete nervous breakdown. And remember, No news is Good news! :) I just keep telling myself that and it helps...a little!

I guarantee we're going to get our letters tomorrow! I have a really really really good feeling! His form letter was mailed on the 14th and didn't get to me until the 18th, so Thursday seems about right if it was mailed on Sunday. We're just farther away, so it will take longer :) Chin up! It's encouraging to see that other people are getting letters, so it's just a matter of time now...yay!

I received my letter today  and it said 04 Mar as the PIR date but when I called Public Affairs they did confirm that PIR was March 11.  I guess our boys are in the same division.  I will see you at Great Lakes.
