For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Well, Michael received his orders today. He leaves on Saturday to head to Pensacola and will class up on MOnday. Of course, he did not do his PW, so Sarah can't go..at least right now. He's telling her A school is 157 days. I can't get this confirmed. Have joined the IT groups, but they not quite as active and can't tell me much unfortunately. I'd love to know more, and know if this is A school or A and C school. the unknowing is yucky! Please pray for him and for Sarah. Shes really having a bad time with this, she was hoping to be able to go, but it doesn't appear she can now. She needs peace and to know it will be ok. I'll keep you updated.

Comment by swim4life on September 15, 2011 at 2:58pm: college football...I just bought tickets this morning for the Utah vs Washington game at Utah on 10/1...My husband is a rabid Utah fan....It's a late anniversary gift, since we didn't go anywhere or do anything. Only thing is, I won't be on that trip, so he'll have to take our son that lives there. Funny, that's probably how we've lasted 30 years, spending plenty of time apart....! :)

Comment by MN Mom of MM on September 15, 2011 at 12:51am: Minnesota is predicting frost tonight. I just came in from coveriing my tomato plants. Oh and the peppers...it was such a strange year for some of my plants, they grew nearly 4 feet tall, and just now bloomed and have little peppers on them. I had to cover them too so maybe I will still get a pepper or 2 to eat.

On a side note my sailor just got the package of the jerky I ordered. He was very surprised cause he did not know it was coming, Said he loved it and was sharing with roomate and friends. Thanks ladies for giving me the connection.
