HAS ANYONE ON HERE USED THE SANDBOXX APP TO DELIVER MAIL TO YOUR SR IF SO, DID YOUR SR RECEIVE IT AND DO THEY GET ANY TROUBLE FOR THIS KIND OF MAIL?? NEW TO ALL THIS
My daughter left and reported on November 13 and we got her phone call that she was safe and sound on November 14th.
I haven't heard from her since. I have no idea what to expect and when she might call again. Haven't got her address to send things to her, letters. She did say it might be a while though.
We did get her box back a week later with all her stuff.
I am at a loss... can anyone help with what I can expect or when I might get to talk to her?
I am so glad I haven’t donated or disposed of the stadium seats I used for highschool and college games. Packing three for trip to PIR. Yes...taking 2 extra for my SR’s father and aunt.
Have spoken with with my son 3 times today. He warned me about the bleachers at PIR and be prepared to walk a lot. I’m very practical. I may near my muck boots for the track to the graduation the put on my nicer shoes once I arrive. Maybe I will purchase a clear vinyl bag to carry them…Continue
I receive many request about graduation procedures and policies. Please see my survival guide at www.mynavytaxi.com/goodies.html It is always updated when changes occur.

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command blessed me with a glimpse of my son marching in the snow with his ship mates. He looks great!!!!! He looks confident and proud!!!! I cried like a baby. I am still planning to knock him on the back of his head like Gibbs does DeNozo on NCIS because I have not received ONE letter. I have been a worried mother hen only to find out he is doing great!!!! I took a screen shot and forwarded it to everyone I know. The happy smirk was there. It will be such…Continue
Finally heard from my son this morning. They just allowed an hour of phone calls. Since after the 5 vaccinations were given, he’s been suffering cold and congested and he sounds awful on the phone and not taking any medication for it. Thank God, no fever. My son was chosen as a Port Leader in his division. Being a division leader, he's the first to wake up and the last one to go to bed. So he's sleep and rest deprived. Poor baby. His…Continue
Newbie mom to a Boot Camp graduate, now in Pensacola for A-School. He has asked us to send him his laptop, smart tv, and xbox, but at the same time is complaining about the WiFI in his room. Can anyone tell me or give me advice as to what the procedure is there for internet/WiFi in their rooms? Does he purchase something from them?
Any help and guidance is greatly appreciated...

What a treat to get a 3 page letter from my Son. Its actually the first letter I have ever recieved from him. To know that he is doing well and truly stepping up to be a leader. This experience is one of the best.. I am so looking forward to getting more letters from him to hear how his adventure is going. Knowing that he is learning new skills and truly becoming the man I know him to be.
My family received letters from my son yesterday so I was very excited to get home from work to get his letter, only to be saddened that my mail box was empty. The one thing I’ve learned from this new experience is patience. Hopefully something arrives today! The good thing is I got his address and immediately sent out a card with a short note. I use SENDOUTCARDS. So easy! I will be using SANDBOXX for my longer letters. My sons PIR is 11/30. I can’t wait to give him the biggest hug!
Looking for advice for my daughter-in-law. She is about 6 weeks pregnant and has polycystic ovary syndrome . She is spotting and may have a miscarriage. She is all alone there. They just arrived in September. My son left on deployment and will be back early December. She is so stressed and I want to help her but feel helpless. She is an optometrist from the Phillipines and made friends with a Phillipino spouse; but doesn't want to bother them all the time because they both work and…Continue
Reading over the information from this site I had an epiphany. An epiphany that caused tears to flow. (I didn't think I had any more tears left.)
My son is in the Navy now and the Navy has my son. I could go up to the base and ask to see my son. I would be kindly yet firmly turned away even though MY son is behind that gate somewhere. The epiphany that I will be able to see my son at the invitation of the United States Navy and AFTER a background check. OK...that makes me laugh.…Continue
