For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

First Missing my Sailor Moment
Yesterday I was shopping for dresses, which is frustrating in its self, for my mutter's upcoming wedding. So all of a sudden in the middle of our shopping, with 5 people in total, I start crying. Now I've never been the type who likes showing people my emotions and I can normally control my crying moments but not yesterday.
So while I'm telling everyone I'm fine and wiping the tears from my eyes, my mutter has come to the conclusion that I'm frustrated that because dressing aren't fitting (I recently had Lap Band surgery and have lost about 42 lbs). She shows me another dress to go try on and I welcome the idea of getting a few minutes to let these tears out in a changing room. All I wanted was a few minutes in peace.
As fate would have it, I wasn't getting my way. My sister joins me in the changing room due to the extremely crowded changing area. For some reason every store we went to the changing room was crowded. So I put this dress that is too big and walk out to my mutter. At this point I just want to go home and lock myself in a room. There have been moments where I missed Justin but at that moment I just wanted to hear his voice. He has this ability to make me laugh not matter the situation.
Now this was just one problem stacked on top of numerous ones and of course no one I was with could understand what I was feeling. So needless to say his graduation date can't get here fast enough!

You'll be ok. Keep focusing on your weight loss (and congratulations on your progress so far) and stay busy. You'll be seeing him soon and you'll have a whole new you to show off! This time he is away is about him. It's easy to get caught up in what we are missing, but when you feel bad for yourself, think of what he has sacraficed and when he is feeling sad, he doesn't have his family to comfort him. Be strong for HIM....that'll keep your mind busy. All the best!
