For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

time moves slow
I can't believe it's Friday. This means 7 more to go. I can't remember when Friday's where so important to me. It's seems like pay day times 100.
I also got "the box" On Tuesday. My daughter called me at work and said oh in case you are wondering what we got for mail you got the famous "box " .I cried again but this time with a sense of relief knowing time is moving faster than I realized.
I just want to say my daughter has been a great help.She will come up to me and give me a hug out of nowhere and say I love you .when I am sitting on my couch she will come up behind it and kiss me on my head and ask how am I doing. And that's just a few things she does.
My daughter is my last child at home. I have 3 children two boys one girl. I already told her she is in big trouble because she's the last one at home . I asked her if she wanted to join the Navy and she said no. I said that's ok if you want to. Her reply was I am not Navy material but mom I will be going to college. She's 15 and already knows what she wants.
Know we are waiting for "the letter" so this is where I am at right now.trying to pass time for the next hurdle.

Our daughter left on Wednesday. We are now waiting for the "box". We have a 12 year old son who has also made it a point to be so loving to me and concerned about how I am feeling. We have all pretty much kept our composure and not sobbed at her bedroom door. I feel so sad with her not at home. I have watched YouTube videos to try and see what her day is like.
