The USS Abraham Lincoln will be deployed for Christmas and has given approval for the ship to receive pillowcases while on deployment.   That will be 5,000 or more strong.

The main postings for this project will be in the Lincoln group under the thread called "The Lincoln Family Love Pillowcase Project".

I will update here as well so you don't have to join the Lincoln group.

Let us know what you can do to help us get the ship done!

I love rainbows!   This was posted on the Lincoln group, so wanted you all to see this beautiful photo.

Just found this amazing picture on Lincoln's Facebook page: the ship leaving Hawaii with 5000 sailors and 1000 Tigers!  :-)  Under a rainbow, which, surely will bring them safe sailing across the waters!

me too.  So happy that the TC got to go on after all.

Here is a picture of my son, minutes after his squadron came back from deployment on the Lincoln. He's soooo excited about the baby!

looks like there needs to be a baby quilt in the works :)
Oh, I already made two. Paymaster spent a day teaching me how to make a quilt. Then I got a crash course in the Walmart fabric section on how to make a rag quilt. Came out really nice. If you're on my FB page, check out the pictures I posted. :)
I love this photo.  What a great homecoming!

Oh I will Birdie, post it on the new group page too , or can I share it! love baby quilts.

When I found out I was pregnant with my 3 year old guess what the first thing I did was...tee hee;)

Sure you can share the pics. Tag me in them when you post them on your group page, so I can be linked to them.

I'm so proud of myself. It actually came out straight! How about that?

The two rag quilts I did came out really cute too. One was for my grandbaby and the other for a baby shower.

got a nice thank you note from our POC for the CS unit today.

Thank you Ms. Sue for the pillowcase. That was so thoughtful for you to do that and I was/am really appreciative of the pillowcase for me and my division. Sorry I did not thank you sooner but I was really busy and had a lot going on. But thanks so much for the pillowcase I love it and sleep with it a lot.

hers is the cupcake one in the middle of the photo at the bottom.  I actually made one and it's the waternelon one to the left.  I made it at Ben's house last summer. this is 1/2 half of them.  Jackie D made and sent the other half.

These are fantastic, so fun and colorful!  Nice work.

thanks Vicki.  My friend Barb made all the flanged ones.  I made that 1 watermelon and my friend Anita made

the 2 in the front row that say "honor, duty" etc-1 tan and 1 blue.

In fact of the 102 CS ones needed for the Bush, Barb has made 82!  She is awesome.

Oh I love these so much so beautiful! Nice note
