Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Event Description

Cincinnati Navy Week is Aug 29 2011 - Sept 5 and we are trying to put together a breakfast for anyone from the Navy for Moms Groups to have breakfast with an officer and have a time to answer questions.  It is a tentative date of Thursday Sept. 1.  Exact time to be announced and exact location downtown of the breakfast. 

Needing RSVP's now so we can get details ironed out.

Below times are not firm.  It will Sept 1.

Hoo rah!  We have details.  This event is now confirmed....Thursday Sept 1 at 0745 we are to meet for breakfast for Cincinnati Navy week at restaurant named "First Watch" at 700 Walnut Street, CIncinnati, OH  45202  at the corner of 7th and Walnut.  Guest speaker joining us will be Rear Admiral Cruz.  Also joining us will be Commanding Officer of Recruiting District Ohio Commander Mike Hudson, and his Command Master Chief Aaron A. Shipley, Jr and Lt. Meg Ferguson and Navy Mass Communication Specialist to take photos and do story.  I need the following right away as soon as you can : 

A---Confirm you are coming

B Name and City of each Mother

C  Name, Rank and Duty station location of your son or daughter

D  Any specific question of mothers desire to ask beforehand so Admiral has most updated details to offer

E---Any special requests you have.

Thank you Dolphin.  I'm now trying to edit the event to say it is firm but I don't know how to do that so I've just made a posting her Saying it is firm.  I will also private message everyone who has been giving me their names.  I've friended them.  Is emily-aaronsgirl coming?

The Exact time if Thursday Sept 1 at 7:45 am to 9.  So time and date are firm.  Need to get count firm and will also give you location soon.  It will be downtown Cincinnati but I have to get the location and will post that too.

ktssong, I've contacted a young lady that is on Nuke Moms.  Her name is emily-aaronsgirl.  She lives in OH.

 

I will let the other KY Moms know to come to this site and say whether they are coming or not.
