Meet & Greet--very informal. Ryan's Steakhouse, Mt. Vernon, IL. Dutch treat. Restaurant phone is (618) 244-4491
Bring family, DEPPERS, anyone interested in knowing more about Navy families.
Bring supplies for a "packing party." Looking for non-used greeting cards (including Christmas/Holiday cards) hard candies, nuts, personal hygiene, fun filled letters written/typed by your family. Include pictures or postcards of your area.
HERE IS WHAT THIS MONTH'S GROUP HAS REQUESTED--THEY WORK IN EXPLOSIVES--A VERY DANGEROUS JOB
Things we enjoy, we like to work out, read magazines I would list some specific ones, but we usually get each article. A couple of us are thinking of doing some home buying when we get back so different house magazines are great to read too (I know I sound like Martha Stewart, just not the criminal type) Just

kidding...
We also enjoy movies from the 80's & 90's comedies. Old Chevy Chase,
Steve Martin, John Candy comedies, ect... As far as snacks go we all have sweet
tooth's, enjoy beef jerky, packaged cookies, Star Bucks double shot drinks, Red
Bulls, stuff like that.

We love anything you guys send, homemade foods, movies, magazines, baby wipes, cigars (bad habit but we like 'em), Dunkin Donuts coffee whole bean or ground, old/used movies,

, gum, whatever you guys would like to send :). There are
currently 7 females on our compound. Anything special for them would be
appreciated.

Great Kathy! I have to pick up my sis-in-law, who does not drive. I will probably go set up our tables, then go get Alice. Looking forward to it!

Michele--do you have a pillowcase you can bring? I won't have time to sew one, and only have the tie died ones. And, yes, this IS the date. The local newspaper called me to flesh out the press release to a short news article.

Carol - I am going to assume this is a given date, so I am going to schedule a meeting in Mt. Vernon for earlier in the day. If by chance this changes, will you please be sure to let me know. Can't wait to meet all of our IL Navy Moms!

Ryan's steakhouse needs me to confirm numbers by July 20th--so let me know how many are coming with you. I've got some shipping money for us to pack some boxes--so bring what you can. Especially include your letters and pictures!

Families--when you RSVP, could you also put a note on this page how many are coming? I'm hoping for at least 8--would be thrilled at 38!
