Hello - I am wondering if a SR can qualify for the Navy Seal training after they arrive at Boot Camp or did he have to qualify before he left?

Anyone know or have experience with this?

What does his contract say.  Did he get swim quals completed at Dam Neck or Coronado?  Did he get a SEAL Team Mentor?...................

He did have a Seal Team mentor; however, I don't think he worked with him much. He was at some point not even sure how to get a hold of him. He hadn't passed the PT test before he left. Maybe he needed to do that before getting it in his contract. He was close but not quite there. I never saw his contract but I'm pretty sure it didn't get put in it because he hadn't passed PT test. I know he still wanted to qualify tho.

It is sometimes possible to be invited to train with the 800 divisions after arrival at the RTC and some have been able to change contracts. There must be an 800 division in the TG that your recruit is in in order for it to happen. There is info about that in 800 and 900 Divisions.

Thank you
