Here is a question that I thought of while talking to my son this weekend. I am moving into the snow country from the palm tree section of this country. Should I notify someone connected with the Navy to change the contact information with them. That just in case type information that we all have given the recruiters. Just one of those thoughts that creeps into the mind when checking to make sure all the bases are covered.

Your son should have his record updated - did he live with you when he enlisted? It sounds like you are moving to a different state completely and his "home of record" is changing, it does need to be updated.
I am moving to Wisconsin from Florida, yes the Florida address is his home of record. I am keeping the house but no one will be in it. So I dont know if HIS home of record is the same as My home of record or on record? I have to move to find enough work in order to keep the Florida house. Kind of a strange situation!
Debbie, it is just good to update the records just for emergency contact purposes, even though my son was in Hawaii with his dad when he enlisted he still used my address as his address.
hahahahahahha LOL........another Wisconsin mom soon~ Are you CRAZY??? its cold here, and rains all spring and dumps HUGE amounts of the White stuff' each winter~~~ where ya settling in at??
Hi Linda yes I have been told that I might have a few issues lol......Appleton is the area were I am now living, got at least a part time job today......not much but a start, in the area of florida I was working only weekends there was no other available employment so crazy to the bank I hope anyway! I am getting my driving in the snow legs back under me but this ice is a bad thing for sure! I am at my oldest son's watching the grandkids sleep while the boy and wife run to the store, this is something I have never done before, I am not only faced with my youngest setting sail so to speak for a short time but learning how to be the mom of two adult kids in the same town and an in town grandma to 6 wonderful (they are asleep lol) grandkids. So hello all of you other frozen navy moms I am here to warm up the area.....how am I doing so far???
