While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Need Article 92 (failure to follow orders) advice...
my son was caught underage drinking, went to Capt mass, received 30 days restriction, 45 days xtra duty, and 1/2 x 2 months pay reduction and was stripped of rank but not rate, AET. He was told if he had good behavior while on restriction they would only dock him 1/2 of 1 months pay. It was also ordered/suggested that he attend AA meetings.
Here is where it gets dicey.. on his way to his first AA meeting (less than 1 week into restriction) he and 6 other sailors also on restriction piled into a van and headed to their AA meeting, on the way they stopped to get drinks (sodas, chips etc), according to my son they (the other 6) had done this before. This he found out was also a violation, the driver told on them and all them are waiting for their next punishment, which he believes will be another Article 92.
He keeps telling me that he's going to be kicked out because they can't receive 2 Article 92 - within 2 years.
my son had completed A school (AET) graduated at the top of his class and had received his orders. up to the drinking incident he had not been in any trouble was on honor guard. I just can't believe he would be kicked out for stopping to get a soda? He hasn't been told if he will go to Capt mass again or discipline review. All AA meetings for everyone on restriction have been stopped.
He is pretty upset with himself for "following" the croud, he said "because I didn't know" isn't an excuse. It just breaks my heart this is all he's wanted for a while and a couple bad decisions could ruin his military career.
Can anyone give me/him advice, or have knowledge of a similar situation and the outcome?
