While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

November and December projects
Molly has announced their group for these 2 months. We won't be sending them pillowcases as Lyn has been making Christmas stockings with seabees on them. In fact, she is going need some help sewing them up. She says they are very easy. So please leave her a message if you are able to help with that.
Instead, we are going to take the groups that have asked for support on the Molly website and weren't adopted. I've asked Tina to post those links to this thread. If I recall, they were smaller groups, so think we could do them all.
My focus is pillowcases although I will include other things if I have room. So the aren't necessarily a Christmas thing. I just hate to skip a month from doing a group. The NY is just a special project.
Lyn, can you post a picture of the completed stocking? I don't know how to get it from Molly's page.

Today, I am mailed 20 pillowcases and 8 scarves to a group of soldiers in Iraq. Dori mailed the other 12 scarves yesterday. This group came from MOlly's website. As I was packing them up, I thought I wonder if it's as cold in Iraq as Afghanistan. I told JOe the contact to please pass them on if they didn't need them.
Dori sent me a thing about weather there and I see it can get as low as 30 and 50 in the winter months. So I figure they can use them. See, I live in a climate where we have 100+ temps for several months a year and 90's even longer. 30 - 50 degress is cold to us. Dori said that was balmy weather for her. Funny isn't it.
And I mailed 3 to wounded soldiers that came from Molly's special hugs group. 2 Marines who have lost legs and a soldier who lost all 4 limbs. I'll post pictures tomorrow. check out the new count.
I also included Christmas cards done by the kids at one of the schools that I work at, letters from a friend who is a teacher.
And I picked up 3 more pillowcases for my stash. -

here's a few pictures from the Dec mailings. both of these groups came from Molly's website. the 1st is 20 soldiers in Iraq. Dori and I also mailed 20 scarves. The 2nd is sailors in Guam, on the same ship as Larkin, different unit

that is a fleece band on a purple bottom. I actually set it aside for the NY, but didn't need that many females.
Here's some that went to Bahrain last week. Cathy (Matt's mom) and Ally mailed those. I mailed 35 letters from students to that group today. I got Colt's name from his mom, who is a member of HAE.
These 3 went to 2 injured marines and 1 army man that were posted on Molly's special hugs. All 3 have lost their legs.
