The USS Abraham Lincoln will be deployed for Christmas and has given approval for the ship to receive pillowcases while on deployment.   That will be 5,000 or more strong.

The main postings for this project will be in the Lincoln group under the thread called "The Lincoln Family Love Pillowcase Project".

I will update here as well so you don't have to join the Lincoln group.

Let us know what you can do to help us get the ship done!

very nice Vicki. thank you and welcome!
I sent mine to SAW. At last count , they have reached their Goal . Dollyslaffin told me. Mine went in the mail yestrerday, so she will get them on Monday. I took pictures on my cell phone, so I have to figure out how to get them into the computer, but when I do, you will see my " babies" that I made. I made some with the old Mickey mouse, peanuts at christmas time, The Kellogg characters, little sailors, and coca cols fabric. I think they turned out great. I am finally out of my sewing rut I have been in. And good thing too.. as I have a craft fair in 2 weeks.
glad that you are out of your sewing rut Nita.

The numbers are beginning to roll in and we will see where we stand with the numbers needed to finish the Lincoln project.
Steph, Did you get the pillowcases from my kids and me? Kelley
Kelley, we don't have a Steph on here. Who are you looking for?
the above photo was taken by a friend of mine on another ship as they passed by each other. I see my son waving. haha. wishful thinking.
My son was in the hangar bay when they passed. I see him! haha.

I mailed my half of the CS unit yesterday. That felt so good! I am truly blessed. I know of 3 units actually mailed and will add those to the count.

There are a bunch that went by way of ALFA for Jackie, so will get those numbers and add them in.
Does this mean that some of the rest of us will soon ship?
my legal advisor tells me that she will be getting the rest of the addresses out to the mailers this weekend. whoohoo!

I made the Boston Red Sox with your band today. Looks great. Thanks for your help with it.
I did it! yesterday, I finally got the rest of 34's pcs mailed. PTL. I didn't think I would ever get those done. boy, putting those special ones in a plastic bag sure takes up alot more room.

and my son said that he has received 2 boxes of pcs. I asked him who they were from. once he gets them all, he'll hand them out.

I am so excited. Finally, starting to see some results.

I will be sending out the pillowcases I made tomorrow. Here are some pictures of them.

They are really lovely Tamara!
