Hi all. Well with the navy there is always a saga. Chris put in for leave for thanksgiving and the chief did not want to put it through. He said it should have been done much sooner. Chris explained that they just had a baby and hurricane up in NY(caused gas shortage) so he wasnt sure of his plans. Next day he spoke to him again and now it has been passed on. They wont find out until Monday. Now if they come they will have to travel on Wednesday which is the worst travel day of the year. Hopefully they will be able to leave like 4am. The Navy--always a wait and see game
good evening my girlies!

MNM, dahlin' i can hardly keep up with you!

Is it Friday yet? This week is going by way too slow...think I'm just anxious to get my Sailor home...yep we're driving down Monday to Keesler, he graduates on Tuesday and then we get to bring him home for 2 weeks! YEAH!!!
Tiffany - WOOOHOOO!!!! Have a great time....so excited for ya!
AnnieJ - PIR on 12/21....what an awesome Christmas present! Your daughter will do ATT & AWAT classes first then go into her I strand or O strand. My son was in P'cola for 6 months and that seems pretty normal but a lot depends on how long the wait to class up....it's the Navy who knows! Best of Luck to your daughter.
MNM - you're becoming quite the traveler these days...from the west coast to see your son and now to the east coast to see your daughter.....so cool you get to spend time with them (even those short trips does your heart a world of good)
Have a great day ladies!
Hello Ladies, Today is a the official countdown for a big day! In exactly one week I am flying to Pensacola to see my husband for the first time since he graduated BC in July. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! Well have a good day everyone.
Hi Annie, My daughter arrived at Pensacola for A school (ATI) on 9/14/12 and waited 6 weeks for her first class. She'll be there until April 2013. I hear there's quite a wait sometimes for classes to begin. She's in her 2nd week of classes and loves it. Her first six weeks was spent sorting laundry, cleaning moldy bathrooms, standing watch, organizing lost and found items, cleaning cleaning and more cleaning. She got her permanent room after about 2 weeks but they just stuck her in a room with 2 other girls when she first got there.
Where is your daughter from? We're from San Francisco.
Hello, my daughter is at boot camp & graduates on 12/21/12. Then off to Pensacola for 'A' school for AT. Would love some information on how the school progresses.
Kira we would always rent a house on the website vrbo.com we would go to Pensacola. It was so nice to have a place with plenty of room to hang out and cook for our son. On the base there is the Naval Musuem which is awesome, the lighthouse that you can tour and climb to the lookout and they also have displays set up in all the rooms downstairs. We would drive into Alabama and eat at Lambert's and we also visited the museum of the Alabama while we were there. Wish he was still in Pensacola since that is within driving distance instead of 2,000 miles away like he is now. We would go spend the weekend with him every couple of months while he was in A school.
Has anyone stayed in Pensacola Beach and knows what's fun to do there? My husband and I bought plane tickets for the first weekend in March to visit our AT girl. We're thinking about staying at the Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach and the reviews look good. Hopefully the weather will be nice too, even though it's before the beach warms up. I haven't been to Florida in 20 years so this should be fun and the only thing we want to do really is hang out with Emily.
MNM: we had that weather last week first snow storm and 30 Then 70 Crazy weather
