imomxfour...i miss typed, she leaves for 8/13. I am very anxious about all of this as well as overwhelmed with all the information.
Hope the moving is going well
paigesmom, thank you for writing!! My daughter's best friend's name is Paige, how neat!! How old is your daughter? Oh, and did you mean your daughter leaves on 4/31? If so, they will be in the same PIR group and go to A School together!!! =) Well maybe - our son's PIR group had 2 groups of AD sailors, starting A School at different times.
It's getting SO close now - how are you doing?
We are super busy finishing our new (temp) home so it hasn't really hit me yet, but I did stop to buy a card for her today and it made me get really emotional when I found THE ONE, ya know? Then again, it didn't really hit me with my son until 2 days before he left either. I don't think this is going to be any easier sending her off, than it was the first time around. Oy!! And I am going to be forced to keep going, since we are moving the 2 days after she heads to MEPS.
Well I better get to bed, I just hopped online to read a little, to wind down after a long night of painting. Take care!!
imomxfour, my daughter got the rating in AD. Not the one she wanted.....she leaves for GL 4/13
CLAMOM,
Sorry, my son checked with some friends but he doesn't know anyone who lives there or knows anything about that area!!! Hope someone else can come through for you.
CLAMOM,
I don't personally know but my son and his family live in Virginia Beach. I'll ask him for you and let you know what he says.
Has anybody ever heard of Mallory Apartments in Hampton Va?? Are they safe???
Greetings from Boston, gang! I am new to this page. My son leaves for GL in 19 days and my daughter leaves 8/20 to GL. They are both going as HMs. I am looking forward to learning from all of you.
Thanks for your continued prayers for Boston.
