Since we are now able to send packages, wouldn't it be great if we shared our creative ideas of what we intend to send to our sailors?

My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Elizabeth, awww you are so sweet. I'm also happy that we are all able to go through the next step of our sailors' journey together again. I missed you ((hugs)) I saw Nancy's pictures of Anastasia's. Were you there? If so, which one was you?
Hi everyone....so glad to be back with all of you :o) I saw some of the 12/17 M&G pictures, you all are beautiful as I knew you would be, looks like a good time was had by all.
Lori - how awesome that your son saw a SUB leaving, I was thinking about that exact situation and how amazing that would be...I will have to pass that info on to my "T" I am sure that will get him more excited about getting up there.
Nancy - I am going to private message you about the boy's FB accounts, my T looked last night and said he couldn't figure out which one
Ok...talk to you all soon....so happy to be back together.
Elizabeth
Jessi, I copied this from a post that JessicaB had posted about the pictures, dvi, and yearbook.
"Most recruits pick up their portraits a few days before PIR, then right after the ceremony they run back to barracks to pick them up and hand them to you. The DVD is mailed to the address the recruit writes down and arrives 5-6 weeks after PIR (got mine on time). The Keel is also mailed, but takes about 10 weeks to arrive"
Susan, poor D. That cough just seems to hold on, doesn't it? I will pass on his barracks to A. He asked me about that again last night. Glad to hear that he is happy there.
A's duty last night was taking out the trash. I told him that we prepared him for that pretty well, then. lol
Betsy - I'm sorry A is sick! D called today after the run (he took another 7 seconds off his time!) and he was coughing pretty bad. He said after the urine test tomorrow he will get cough medicine, lol. He thinks it could show up in the urine. D called last night and today! I am loving this A school business! Oh, D said he is in building G. I know your A was asking that.
D said all the IT's were pulled out yesterday and given their secret clearances so they can start school. They were told a lot about their jobs and it finally makes sense now. D's job is a brand new IT job and that's why almost no one knew what it was, even the recruiter. It sounds really cool and he is going to be getting a lot of training, even more than he thought. He said they were fast tracked through some 10 day class and actually finished it today (not sure how you can do 10 days in 2...but OK). They were going to start school on Monday but were told today that they will start Jan10. So other than muster and signing some papers tomorrow he is pretty much on his own until then! He said that he has been been given duty yet but was told that it will be every 8 days. He was headed to the "NEX that's like Walmart" to look at TV's today with his buddy. He sounds very happy so I think it's great!
Penny - Sorry about CJ. He will come around! I'm sure he is making friends too.
Lori - That view sounds amazing! And how cool to see a sub leave. I bet he is on cloud nine!!
