So glad A didn't leave for Groton today; I've been on the Groton site and Sailors flying today have been grounded and unable to fly into Providence which is where my A flys to tomorrow a.m.  Yikes!  Hoping by tomorrow flights are flying in and out on time.

Great advice, Susan.

Ladies, if your sailors aren't aware of this, they can call the USO when they arrive at their station and they may actually have someone pick them up at the airport.   They should also have that number on their Orders

Susan, I am so happy for you.  YAY!

Donna, when I talked with my daughter in MD, she said that they were actually only expecting 2-4 inches today and 1-3 tomorrow.  We aren't even sure why they cancelled so many flights already.  She said it was only flurrying at the time that they cancelled his flight.

A just texted me that he was boarding his 4 hour flight to Charlotte now and they bumped him up to First Class.  :)  I guess the uniform does give them some perks.  lol

Maryland Mom - have him call the Quarterdeck right now to let them know of this possibilty. They will advise him. My sailor said he should have the number. If not let me know. Susan

that's great news Susan !!  I am concerned about the flight weather tomorow also Betsy. If your hubby can't get into BWI tonite, I wonder if S will get out of there tomorrow ?!  His flight is 9:45. Dont know what will happen if the flight is cancelled and there is nothing later in day. He is to be at Pensacola at 7am Tues. Do they overlook absence if it was weather related ??
