Nancy, that's so awesome about the phone call and congratulations on his metal.  Woohoo, it's almost time.  I can't wait to hear all about it.  Keep your tissues handy on Wednesday.

JUST got a phone call from IB, he had 30 minutes for a phone call and then he was going to go eat pizza. SO excited, we put the phone on speaker so we could all talk at once, and he was so pleased to know that we are here already!! He said that he won a medal for the shooting :-).

12/22 Peeps-Went into Chicago today and visited the Field History (I think?) Museum, and went to dinner at the Crackerbarrel (there aren't any in CA); heard at dinner that the Planetarium is FREE tomorrow, so if you are in the area, that is something to do. Not too bad to drive as long as you avoid rush hour.

Thanks Lori for the new SUB info, I will be investigating it ASAP, a new journey begins.

Penny, enjoy your Cj time.  :)

Comment by CJ's Mom on December 20, 2010 at 8:59pm

Cj and his friend Osenga are chilling here at the house. Osenga is shipping off to basic in June. He is going into the nuke program too. So Cj is filling his head full of stories.

Osenga was saying one of his friends was in Tech school for the Air Force and actually flunked out. Can you believe putting forth so much effort to pass basic and then flunk out of school because you don't study and go to class.

Anyway feels nice having CJ hear telling all his stories.

Lori, that's so cool that he is getting together with them. What did you buy, anything good? I hope you and Ash had a nice time. I'm so glad that you have Drew back home now. ((hugs))

Hi All!

Congrats to CJ on his new computer.

Susan - that D - what a sweatheart; I'm sure it melted your heart :-)

Patti - I hope S is feeling better; I see you started a Nuke discussion forum (on to the next phase)!!

Betsy - guess healthy eating is out the window for leave :-)  That's o.k., its only 10 datys.

A didn't go to the Dr.'s today; says he is feeling better.  He helped Drew move home and then went Christmas shopping while Ash and I did some shopping of our own.  We all had a very nice dinner together tonight and now he and Ash are just "chilling."  They are meeting one of A's BC bunkmates in Flint tomorrow.  "Brown" is from Lansing MI and was married to his girlfriend of 5 years on Saturday so they are getting together w/their girls for lunch!

I thought I might catch someone to chat :-)

Penny, I hope Cj got his new glasses.  Poor guy!  That's great about the computer.  Woohoo!

Jacque, ((hugs))

Patti, I hope S feels better soon.  I guess it's hard to get rid of the Ricky Crud.  :(

Susan, awww, that is so sweet that he said that this morning.  I hope D feels better soon too. ((hugs))

Lori, I hope A is feeling ok today and is enjoying his time with all of you.

Donna, that is funny about the initial.  lol

My A made his own breakfast this morning.  He had a Hershey's Cookies & Cream candy bar, which he decided to wash down with a Yoohoo chocolate drink.  lol  I guess he missed chocolate.  He seems to be re-adjusting pretty well, which kinda has me worried about how he will do on Sunday.  :(  He is now playing XBox live with some of his friends and they are heading to see the movie Due Date in a little while.

Susan Hug and kiss D from us! Tell him CJ is keeping his secrets well. Ask D about the comparment ninja and see if he tells you anything.

Comment by NC_Susan on December 20, 2010 at 3:38pm

If D doesn't stop coughing soon then we are also going. His isn't too bad right now, mostly at night. He was sleeping this morning when I was leaving for work and I went in his room and was kissing his face (lightly) and he opened one eye and said "I love you Mom" :) Made my day :)

Penny - I'm glad he got a computer, very important to have so those emails can go back and forth!! And he tells you so much you will have lots of information to pass along :)

Comment by CJ's Mom on December 20, 2010 at 2:20pm

Well CJ bought his first computer. He did well and did not spend tons but it has a blue ray player and can supporrt his games, music and movies. Most of all he will be able to email me on a regular basis. :)

He said he is a ready to go back to the base.
