For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by pmgcakes on December 20, 2010 at 8:54am: We spoke about the Doctors this weekend too, I think S should go, hes been coughing, S said that he needs to go to a Military Doctor or to a VA Hospital. maybe if you call your local VA office they may be able to answer your questions.

Comment by Lori_KingsBay_USSRI_Radio on December 20, 2010 at 8:47am: Susan - we are not sure if he just has to show his military ID or what; he doesn't have an "insurance card." I haven't removed him from my insurance yet so we have that in our hip pocket if need be.

I remember Anti M counseling us on our Sailor's disposition possiblities following BC especially since they typically do not have a 10-day leave, only a few days of liberty following the structured life in RTC. A said casual talking is a bit challenging after so many weeks of "not talking." Love them, hug them!!

She too is missing the people and structure of boot camp and is feeling a bit out of place around us civi's lol. I'm so thankful to have her home for Christmas. It will be very hard to take her to the airport on the 27th!!!

I think he is going to Urgent Care tomorrow a.m. He was hoping to wait until he arrived in Groton to go to medical on base but his cough is really nasty!
