My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Hi Everyone!  Congrats to Steven!  Enjoy the next 2 weeks Donna :-)  You too Rose!  Where is your Submariner heading?  The wedding went well - it was beautiful.  A couple of photos to capture the moment.

Hi Donna, Congratulations to Steven and you!  I am so happy that you will get to have him home for 2 weeks.  Norfolk is really great, when he is in port!  ((hugs)) from me on your bad news.  ((hugs)) You know you can call me anytime.  I hope to see you at our next Maryland Mom's lunch.  No plan yet, but I'll let you know when the next one occurs.

Hello Everyone !!!   It has also been a long time since I have updated !! Lots has happened in my life these past few months. Some good and some pretty bad, but my news is . . .   My Steve will graduate his "C" school on the 27th of Sept. Has aquired all kinds of certs and has done so well. He will be home from Pensacola, Fl on the 28th !! For 14 days. Havent seen him since April, which by the way is the last I saw Betsy :(  He will then report to Norfolk, Va onboard the USS WASP. The good thing is, he is so much closer, the bad thing is, he has been assigned to ship duty instead of shore duty which he wanted. So, dont know how much more we will get to have contact with him, but when he is in port, he will be closer to get to !!

Betsy....Happy for you!!!  Have fun!!!

My sailor graduated from A school today!!!!  Yey for him, little sad because it hit me that may be is going to be different (communication).  He is been stationed in Virginia (LAST choice in his dream sheet) a board of the USS Minnesota.  As you may know is not ready yet until 2013.  SOOOooo he is going to Virginia from there deployed in another boat and once his boat is ready....  THEN of course the boat don't have a port yet,  soooooo.....let see where he ends.  Praying for EAST coast.  Now he has to stay another week for special training huh? So far coming next week.  At this point nothing surprise me first was the 9th...then the 16th...now the 23rd......and for 14 days.  Have to report to Virginia October 6.  Oh well I keep repeating myself "welcome to the Navy".

Have a nice weekend ladies!!!

Helloo......................out there.  Ok, a month with no activity from my friends is just not acceptable.  Where is everyone?

I know that some have had weddings, tiger cruises, new Orders etc.  Details friends!

I am in Hawaii visiting with my daughter, Kristen and her sailor, Ben until Tuesday.  I have been here since last week.  I flew here from Albuquerque, NM after visiting with my youngest daughter Michelle and my oldest son, Eric.   Next week, after I leave Hawaii, I will be flying to Pensacola, FL to see Adam graduate from A school.  He hasn't received Orders yet, but he still will have to do shipboard ops while in Pensacola, so they will probably get their Orders while in shipboard ops.  His "dream sheet" included San Diego, Hawaii and Everett, WA, but who knows where the Navy will put him?  It would be awesome if he got Hawaii, because my daughter Kristen and Adam have always been very close.  Fingers are crossed!

I hope you ladies check in on here, I miss you all!   :(

Hello Navy Moms!  So good to catch up with each of you and your posts.  Cindy I tear up thinking of your upcoming trip and the pride and excitement you are feeling.  Hooyah!  I hear you say you haven't heard E'a voice since March - similar for Penny and C and my heart aches for you!  Sounds like you get email communication at least so glad for that.  A is expected to graduate A school in November, the 30th.  We expect he will get 2 - 4 weeks leave between graduation leave, normal leave and his and Ashley's move to where ever.  Time will tell though.  He will fly home for the wedding so I'm counting down the days until I see my red headed Sailors face!  Seems I'm always counting down the days lately!  Ashley's shower yesterday was wonderful.  I feel so very blessed that my son has found such a special girl.  They are adjusting to separation and I'm so proud of them and how they have progressed in their relationship.  The wedding is Sunday September 4th - can't wait!!  Drew didn't get granted leave so we are planning to Skype him into the wedding - its what we do - adjust and do the best we can!  Love to you all!
