Since we are now able to send packages, wouldn't it be great if we shared our creative ideas of what we intend to send to our sailors?

My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Susan, ((hugs)) to you and D. Young love is so unpredictable.
Penny, I just realized that I didn't answer your question about my hubby looking for house. NO, emphatically NO! Not only doesn't he want to look for a house without me, but I definitely wouldn't want him to do it either. No way I would trust that man with a choice that large. LOL We will probably stay in a 2 bedroom Extended Stay hotel (they allow dogs too) until we find something out there. Hopefully, it will only be a month or two.
HEY HEY LADIES,
Home from San Antonio Master At Arms Graduation. It was very nice, very personal unlike that of BC. It was small class of 31. The Commanding Officer came around to each family and talked with us and was very kind. Some families got lost and they waited for them to arrive before starting Graduation, I thought that was very nice. The Base at Lackland is very nice, but VERY BIG and LOTS of Gates to go in , finding YOUR GATE IS KEY LOL... The Navy was set aside separated from the Air Force so you had to be sure to get the right place. N will start his Canine school tomorrow. He is excited but sad, that all of his buddies are gone to other states and parts of the country, and out of the country. Boy it was a LONG drive took us 15 hrs. Will definitely drive it in a couple of days next time. We had fun saw the city, spent some time with N but not enough for Momma (you know). We will go back in May to see him Graduate the Canine school. He will get his Dog this Friday. Pray for a good dog and NO BITES!!!! Hope everyone is doing Great !! Blessings to you all :)
Elizabeth, thank you. You may be sorry that you offered for the vent, cry. lol
Thanks ladies for the well wishes on our house sale. I'm just praying that it goes off smoothly.
As for the packing, it's not a problem. We are in a relocation process, so they come and do it all. :) I just have to sort what doesn't go with the truck. Not so bad.
Cindy, I am so excited for you! You have to go to his graduation! Please go, lady, it will be awesome. I bet you are so proud of him. Woohoo for top 3!
Penny, I had to laugh when you said he wants you to send something. lol
My update on A is that he just found out, yesterday, that they aren't able to choose at all on their Orders after A school. It doesn't even matter if they place 1st in the class. (I knew this, but never told him) He was pretty bummed. He said that the sargeant told them that their job is over manned and they just send them where they are needed. (again, something I already knew) He did say that after A school, he will most likely go to C school in Norfolk, VA, which makes this Maryland momma very happy. :) I think his C school is about 2 1/2 months long. So for that time, he will only be about 5 hours from me after I move back. Woohoo!
He was excited about a childhood friend from when we lived in WV, who is now at the same base with him. He is a Marine and he is doing the same training as A, so they are both there now. A said he was going to try and do some PT with him this week. Small world, isn't it?
