Since we are now able to send packages, wouldn't it be great if we shared our creative ideas of what we intend to send to our sailors?

My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Groton Penny...still waiting on our Security Check, and I too hate waiting!!
In my prayers Anita that it all goes well!!
E got 91% on his first test in Core today Bravo Zulu...top 5 of his class, he said "I am on the hunt for early advancement :)"
((((Hugs))))) Everyone!!
Hi everyone...just wondering if anyone has had their security check visits yet? I hate waiting for it to happen....just wish it was done already!
Groton Penny
Drew showing his skills spinning pies at Pizza Sam's - scroll down the article until you reach the flash player. Drew is shown near the end of the clip.
Maggie, yes my son gave me his payroll information. It's online and you need his the website, login name and password. My son's deposit was only $58.61, so that's why I asked him. I think he was afraid to ask too, but now says that he will do it today.
Cindy, I do remember when E turned 19. Thank you for sending him a card and for the ((hug)) for me.
Nancy, we will be here for I's birthday too. ((hugs))
Lori, that is so cool about Drew. I will watch it when I'm finished on here. That is so great that the Army includes the family before they graduate. ((hugs)) to you. I'm so glad that you have someone close who has been through it. :)
Cindy & Lori, I will be watching Brad too. :)
Betsy - (Hugs) to you dear friend; I'm sure its tough. Thank the Lord for Skype. I hope you get to see your boys lovely face!
Cindy - Date with Brad - you bet! Wouldn't miss it :-)
Penny - goodness really (cell phone and Army); that would be wonderful. I have a friend whose son went Army and is a medic on his first deployment to Kuwait. We are going to meet for coffee or lunch so I hope to hear first hand from someone who is a ways ahead of me. I do know they get to take a backpack and are required to bring some specific items. They also have a family day on base the day before graduation where you get to attend a picnic and see the base. Graduation has unlimited tickets. So definitely some differences.
I'm packing 2 boxes with civy clothes to send to A along with a pair of Bball shoes. I'm worried I'm sending too much. Sent a list to A and I'm hoping he sees my email and replies whether the items I'm sending is thumbs up or down. Know there isn't much room.
Drew was on a local tv station spinning pies at our local Pizza Parlor. Will post on my FB - not sure if I can post on here but will try. Its the 3rd time he has been on television.
19 (((((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))) Betsy...thought of you all day today! I was away from E for the first time ever on his 19th Birthday too in November (Day after Thanksgiving), So, I feel your pain! I sent A a card last week, so I hope he got it in time!!
@Maggie...my E's check was pretty much -0- ; he was given the reason of 'they paid him living allowance by mistake' since day one...so they take it all back at once. But I have heard all kinds of reasons! Sounds like most of the sailors got hit. E has full control of his accounts, so I cannot check on anything.
I will try to chat later...but Date with Brad night tonight (right Lori) ;o)??
Betsy - I was reading where you said you got your sons payroll info. Did you get it from your son?
