My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Stacey,  ((hugs))  Glad to hear that Tj is doing well.  I understand how you feel about missing him more.  I had a RAOC after I talked with A on the phone.  :(

Nancy, I probably shouldn't have watched that video after my very emotional day.

I picked up my daughter from the airport and realized how much I missed her.  :(

I didn't really realize until today how hard it is being the mom of a sailor and the mom of a daughter with a sailor bf. It's just now hitting me that she will be going with him in May for a year.  :(  I'm not even used to A being away yet and now I have to prepare myself for her leaving too.  I'm so sorry ladies, I've just had a very emotional day today.

Hi Ladies,

thanks for all of the sympathy reguarding my dad's passing. it really meant alot. I am trying to get back to normal now that all of my family has went back north. Boy has it been a crazy month. lots of ups and downs but Hey, that's life.

My TJ seems to be doing great in Pensacola, he says that his classes are easy and he is adjusting pretty good. I am so relieved he has transitioned so well. He has a great group of friends and says his instructors and mentors are "Cool".

I am really glad to see all of our boys are growing up so nicely. I can't be happier about the decision TJ has made. I seem to miss him a bit more latley, maybe because it seems he dosen't need me so much now.I hope the Navy guides him right from here on out, though he still calls for little bits of advice, maybe he knows I need him to do that.

I hope to be on here more often to keep up a little better. Take care. Hugs and kisses.

Cindy, I don't know what is going on with it.  If you still have trouble, maybe you could try to set up a Yahoo account and see if it works.  I'll go in there too and see if I can update my account.

Wendi, Woohoo on day's off.  Have a great day tomorrow.

I am off to the airport to pick up my daughter later this afternoon.  She was visiting her Navy bf in Hawaii for the last 3 weeks.  She has definetely decided to move there, in May, to be with him for his last year at Pearl Harbor.  She is going after she graduates from college.  I'm very happy for her, because she is so excited about her new plan.  But I have to admit that I'm also sad at the same time.  It's so far from Maryland, which is where I will be living by then.  :( I just told my husband it's time to plan our trip to Hawaii now.  :)

I forgot to wish Jacque a very Happy Birthday on Friday.  I hope you had an awesome day.  So sorry, it's a belated wish.

Today, we have another birthday lady, and it's Penny.  Have a wonderful birthday Penny.

Nina - I noticed you indicated you filmed parts of the PIR 12/22. My grandson graduated PIR 12/22. His mom and I were just sick when we learned there would be no video of the graduation. Is there a way we could arrange to obtain a copy of what you filmed of the graduation? It would certainly be better than having nothing. Of course, we have some still pictures but had we known there would be no video we would have made an effort to take more and better pictures. Thanks. Lynn (Barll@cox.net)

Hi ladies,  I've been trying to play catch up on what is going on w/everyone. Last Tues I became sick. Did anyone else get sick after their sailors were home? I fought it all during the holidays but I guess after my son left & the holidays were over it hit hard. I think I am finally getting over it. My son arrived in San Diego on the 3rd, he found out early Tues am he had already been classed up (I think that's right) actually he was due in class that morn. He has been a little bummed because between class he has spent the last week running around trying to take care of paperwork & everything. He is just now getting unpacked he said. Other than that he loves it, made a lot of new friends, loves the weather  & said he has already passed one test & has completed 2 of his community service jobs( that has to do with phase up) i think. The two times he has called I have been out of it so I'm a little foggy on the details.LOL  He did say his room is actually for 1 & they decided this yr to squeeze 2 into the rooms but he said his roommate is never there he is in C school.  He is loving California can't blame him.

Rose  I received my gift card yesterday too,  I sent it to D.   My pictures either turned out dark or blurred too. This just stinks. Anyone w/pics or video can  you   share them.      Have a great day everyone!
