Was just on FB and saw a few people already wishing CJ a happy birthday - makes me cry. I have never been away from him on his birthday since he was born. This is going to be harder on me than it will on him I am sure.

Elizabeth, I agree with Lori, go for it on the blanket.  It sounds pretty cool.

Penny, I'm so glad to hear that Cj is enjoying GL.  Yay!

Cindy, that's great that J has become friends with one of our mom's sailors.

As for my A, I'm pretty sure from his FB status, that he is watching the Raven's game today.  I think it's going to be a nail biter, well at least for the Raven's fans.

I was woke up this morning with my phone "blowing up" as my hubby calls it when i am getting a lot of text message... It was CJ saying good morning and his plans were to PT and watch movies. Things are going well at GL for him.

@Cindy - how cool; A and J are good friends.  The are keeping in touch via phone and facebook.  I don't think J's mom is a member yet - she and I talked about it and I know she is interested.  She is one of my FB friends.  His wife Renee is a N4M - goes by "Brownswifey."

@ Elizabeth - I think they can have anything that fits in their space!  I bet he would love a blanket!  I have a friend who loves thrift store shopping - loves to find those gems.  I've gone with her a few times and it can be fun.

@Elizabeth...yes they are allowed to have their own blankets/pillows etc at A School....and WOW, I want one :) sounds beautiful!!

Thanks Lori...yes Lori E is friends with J :), they were friends in Boot Camp too. They were on their way to 'shoot pool' last night, "E" was walking and talking at the same time to me (wow, Navy sure teaches them great things lol... Kidding)! Anyway, he was asking "BR..." (as E called him), questions for me, to try and determine if that was the same one from PIR that you were discussing with me... it was funny! We determined that '"yes, it was him that got married the Saturday after PIR, "yes," they were from Michigan" And "Yes," his mom was a member of N4Moms :). Small world, and glad E is having a great time!!!

Thanks for the info Lori...

Hi I have a question are our Sailor's allowed to have their own blankets while in school?  I love to thrift store shop and I found brand new fleece in navy blue and another piece (same size) American flag, cheap, cheap, cheap, and I would love to make a fleece blanket for "T" so he has something snugglie of his own at school.  If anyone knows let me know.  Thank you

Jacque - congratulations!  If you haven't already, I think its time to purchase a "Navy Mom" t-shirt or sweatshirt!

@ Cindy - she isn't part of this group that I've seen yet.  J's wife just joined; not this Discussion forum yet though.  Is E friends with J?

Oh wow, Jacque!  You must be so proud of both of your boys.  ((hugs)) to you.  I can only imagine how hard it will be to go through this process again.  But you do know how rewarding it will be in the end.  That's so exciting for you and your family.  You can come to us when you need us.  ((hugs))
