Since we are now able to send packages, wouldn't it be great if we shared our creative ideas of what we intend to send to our sailors?

My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Penny, that's awesome about Cj's ship. Woohoo! You raised a real gentleman, good for you. That's great that he is defending that guy's gf.
Cindy, will do, I can't wait to hear about the card too. lol
Well CJ called this evening - He is a little homesick. (Wow) what a change/ I guess their ship is Ship fo the quarter and for the month - They have not recieved any ARI (Alcohol Related Infractions) for the last 90 days and thier goal is to make sure they have non for the next 90 days. His ship is the North Carolina. He said he has recieved two college credits already for the classes he did during basic and the ones so far this week. They did their personal finance class which he said was like his one he took in High School (yeah - he remembers stuff) Anyway he has not gotten to phase two yet so he can't wear his civies. He has watch tonight from 2am - 4am and then muster at 5am so he is going to stay up. Will be going to be soon. He said yesterday he wanted to Lay his room mate out for being disrespectful to the girlfriend. CJ overheaded the roommate calling his girlfriend a bitch. CJ said how dare you call your grilfriend a ..... you have been with her for three years. CJ said I have had mine for 9 months and I would never call her that. Anyway he had all the other roommates backing himup telling him not to talk to her that way again. Yeah I taught him something!!! Anyway he is doing well.
Great news Betsy! E took some civvies with him :) but requested more now!
Let me know when "A" gets those caramels...and that card LOL!! Oh, I hope he thinks its as funny as I did :o)!
@Sparkle (Mary) SO glad to hear that! Praying for you each and every day! Definetly keep us posted!!
Actually spoke to "E" last night for an hour...feeeeew, "Mom' feels better now :)!! He doesn't know how long he will be on 'hold' for...aparently there are a lot of guys and gals that are there for "AO's" and the Navy doesn't need any out in the fleet right now...so its a 'wait and see game!" His roommate finally showed up, and he likes him :)!! He wants more DVD's to watch, he has been phased up to phase 2 whwich means he can stay out an hour later and where civilian clothes when he leaves base! Ialso I thought of another idea ladies for those care packages. They have a Sub-Way, Taco Bell, A&W, Panda Express restaurants on base...next to the NEX, I believe all of those places you can get gift cards for...I sure bet they would appreciate that huh?! That will be in my next 'package!'
Enjoy your day ladies!
Cindy
