My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Keep in touch so we know what is going on, and did you add J's birthday to our discussion above? so that we can all send him a b-day card!!

I have seen others posting about their sailors out on New Year's Eve and now talking about NYC trip. H said she is not allowed off base for 28 days.

I got a call today and scheduled an appointment for H's security clearance on Sat.

Penny....I hear the comments on FB but I received a e-mail in my personal e-mail  saying that they will issue NEX card in the next few weeks, don't need to do anything. They will send it to my address and I can forward to my sailor.

Hi ladies...phew...you guys have been busy....I have been cracking up over the comments...who knew a fridge could bring so much comic relief! :)

Terry N keeps talking about the hurry up and wait game that seems to be happening out there. There have been a few classes, but it sounds like they are just hanging out and playing video games. He posted something about signing up for a trip to NYC...I asked him for details, but he hasn't responded yet. I think that is awesome if the Navy is organizing trips to local points of interest. N has been to NYC many times but we both can never get enough of the Big Apple!

Where did you guys see the information about the DVD? I have been searching like crazy trying to find it and I even left a message on RTC fb page asking if there was anything else that we could do for pictures etc...but they didn't respond! I did read some posts from this week's families who got their "I'm a sailor call!" Brought back a flood of emotions!

Terry, boredom was pretty common last week with my son.  This week he seems to be doing more things though.

Ok, will do, Nancy.
