For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Also if he has a student email address he can get a free 6 month membership to amazon prime which he can get free 2 day shipping on a lot of things. I dont know if there is a textbook brokers around you but they were always the cheapest back home. Bigwords.com will look at pretty much all other websites and give you the cheapest options :)

tammy I am pretty sure the new address doesnt start til like November or something like that. Thats what I have been told. Have your sailor ask but I think they are still using the old one.

VENT- so the wives were told over and over at ALFA meetings that when the ship pulled back in they wouldnt have to go into work except their duty days. Wives asked them over and over and they said no they will not have to work except their duty day. of course they have been working everyday at least 9 hours for my husband idk about other sailors but now they are saying when second leave period starts they will start letting sailors come in only on duty days until the second leave period is over. soo I am just thinking anyone that took second leave period is going to be getting screwed hardcore if that is the case. ugh its just so annoying because he sits around and does nothing at all. They just have to sit there until the afternoon meeting to say they had nothing to do in the afternoon and then they can leave. Grr. I know its just the navy I am just irritable lol

FPO A E 09520-2872 i dont wont to use the old one it will take weeks to get to ship i mailed a letter on the 8th and had to use old address and he still has not received it! maybe the new zip will work for you but it does not work for me. ugfh..good day

My sailor will be back to SD next week but has asked us not to come out yet. He wants to get settled. I don't like it but I have to respect his wishes :(
