Not sure who asked for infomation about the Navy Lodge, I will be staying there along with several other famlies. Navy Lodge757-489-2656 (not located on base), Gateway Inn (located on base) 1-877-628-9233...hope this helps. Is it just me? The closer time get to me seeing my daughter I get BUTTERFLIES. I just dont want anything to go wrong. My husband keeps saying I should come down,  everything will work out fine.

Have I told you ladies how jealous I am? haha! I'm really happy for the ones that get to see their sailors this week. Mine won't be back to San Diego for a few weeks. He Sam Diego the same day the Lincoln left the Lincoln. He came home the first of November to see his daughter. It's been 240 days since I've seen him and 240 days since he's seen Addie! Praise God this is almost over! I know that the ship will be in dry dock for awhile and this site will get quiet so I'll tell you now what a wonderful group you ladies (and gents) are to me! You've helped me keep my sanity and I have made many lifelong friends! I've met some of you face to face and it's on my bucket list to meet more! Love you! Enjoy your sailors and give them a little extra squeeze for me!

We went to the Mayport base entrance, they told us we will need to be on a list to gain entrance so I emailed my Sailor to get us on the list. It's real nice down here. Staying at the Hampton Inn on Hospitality lane. It's about 12 miles from the base. I'm so excited!

The hotel on base is the Navy Gateway I think and the one off base is the Navy Lodge about 5 minutes down the road give or take. The sailors will probably stay on the ship if they do not get their own hotel room off or have a place to stay. I dont have numbers for either though. I would imagine both of the Navy hotels are filled up :/

Janie, anyone else at The JAX yet?? I'm going to go to the USO just to see. I have a ride but want to meet you if you're there.
