Happy 4th of July! I called about the Publishing Co. about the USS Abraham Lincoln world tour book and they told me it should be out in 3 weeks so we are crossing our fingers:-) Our Sailor came home and surprised us the day before Fathers day it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. 3 EMFR i know nothing about a extended stay at any hotel.Maybe call the tourist Bureau and they can hook you up must be a few options i would think. good luck
Hello all. I have been on N4M since last July but consider myself a lurker. I love the shares and comments. I do have a question. My son will be on the USS Lincoln when the USS Eisenhower returns. I am looking for an extended stay hotel from the time they return until the end of August. Can someone offer some suggestions? Thanks.
Yes the ship is in drydock, but as a new incoming sailor without any quals, be prepared for him to get sent out to another ship for a deployment to get qualified and whatnot since he has to get that done within a certain amount of time of being on the ship. As far as where they live, they have a few different places that single sailors live, most of them are barracks and they do have some apts, but I would imagine if he is just coming in he will probably get a barracks.
Hi all! hope things are good with your loved ones. i still have not gotten my "USS Abraham world tour book! last i talked with them they said perhaps June it would be ready they were waiting on the ship to send some info: I will call again tomorrow crossing my fingers they will give me some good news i just cant wait to see it!! have a good summer it is right around the corner ugh im not looking forward to it it gets hot here in the great state of Texas. blessings...
We adopted a puppy. :) well a new one lol! We already had two but I work with a local rescue and we got a litter in on new years, and I helped bottle feed them and we ended up with the biggest boy lol! he is part bull mastiff part American bulldog <3
