Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

good going Cassie. my son is a good cook and we thought he might like to do that, but he said no.

and Cassie, I've seen those male sailors eat on an aircraft carrier. You will be kept busy cooking. got a personal tour of a galley on tc. I don't know how many will say thank you, so I will in advance. CS's have a hard job. okay, am I scaring you now?

And my boy will be on that ship on deployment. and I think he has a hollow leg sometimes.

Chris, I just knew it! I have a good memory for thing like that. When he was telling us what he did for work, I know I kept making facing because I can't even imagine being a swimmer, I don't like the ocean and I hate cold water. You have a very nice polite and handsome son. You did a wonderful job with him Chris. Where is your son stationed? It seems like people waiting to board were from all over. It was soooo interesting talking to people from the squadron, we were all just killing time.

that is pretty cool Chris and Carmina., it is a small world.

when I was on tc there was a time limit on the computer. and the sailor didn't want to let me use it, but there wasn't anyone waiting so he did. I told him if a sailor needed it, I would give it up.
don't know about the phones though.

Hi Moms,

Please remember to be careful with the information that you post on here. To remind you all, please read below:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security)
(Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips)

Do not post specific dates, times, and locations regarding current or future deployments and ship movements. Do not post dates more specific than by month. Do not post specific ports of call, deployment bases, or future destinations.

INCORRECT:
My Sailor is in XYZ unit and is stationed at ABC camp in XXX city in Iraq.
My daughter is aboard the XYZ ship heading to ABC city/country in X days.
They will be coming back on X date from XXX city.

CORRECT:
My Sailor is deployed in Iraq.
My son is aboard the Stennis.
They will be coming back sometime in May.

When in doubt, less is better!!
