LInda, I haven't found that other DVD yet. Our tv interview is missing too, so now we are wondering where we put them to be "safe" haha. I'll keep looking and will try to put that on here.

Hi Stephanie, go to

that's the home page for the Lincoln. In the middle section where there is writing, there is a link there for the Penny Press.

LInda, I couldn't put my hand on that DVD today. I'll ask hubby tomorrow and find it.

I do have a DVD, not sure who made it, but it's about carriers and their histories. much much better.

I agree with you Linda. We saw it on PBS when it aired in the spring of 2008. I was disappointed by the soap opera too. The only thing I can say, is we were going to take the tiger cruise later that year, so I did have alittle idea of what the carrier was like.

Ladies -

Please do not forget the importance of OPSEC when posting on this site. Sharing specific dates regarding ship movements can jeopardize the safety of our Sailors. Please review our Community Guidelines!

Hi Cathy,
Joey told me that they were doing a dry run on January 4th, but I'm not sure if they are moving the ship to the homeport that week.

Good Day Ladies,

Has anyone heard when the Lincoln will be moving back to it's homeport yet?

Most post office keep the militarty boxes in the back, cause people pick them up by accident and then they are ruined-at least that's what what the PO told me.

I always call and get that box full of stuff. The tape isn't the best, but I put a ton of it on, so I'm good. Remember to tape all of the seams. I read that on a military website when the Lincoln deployed last year. And I put tape all across the bottom - I think I am "waterproofing" it.

My son hasn't been deployed for Christmas, but spent his birthday on the ship 3 years on a row. send that fudge and cookies, call it a party in a box and he'll know that you love him.
