Hi Judi,
we were in San Diego last March when the Lincoln deployed for 7 months. It is a sight to watch it being nudged out by tugboats. Thanks for the info.

Hi Diane,
welcome! this is a fun site and you get lots of good information. My son is assigned to a squadron out of VA and that is assigned to the Lincoln. My husband and I went on the tiger cruise in October. It was wonderful. Was your son deployed this year?

Merry Christmas.

I posted a poem about sailors on my page in a blog post. I think you all would like it.

Congrats to everyone on your sailors coming home. (and the lovely phone calls...)

I heard that both engines failed. That is so sad! All I can say, is when the ship was deployed, the email and phone were sometimes blacked out. So that is certainly a possiblity.

How exciting that you got to go on the Lincoln. Isn't it awesome. I bet you happy to see your son! It's hard to not keep touching him when you haven't seen him for awhile.
Chris that is a great honor for your son to win!
As far as internet goes, alot of servers are blocked. I couldn't access my email while on tiger cruise. MSN and yahoo are blocked, not sure which others. Maybe that's the problem.
I'm glad that Nick is feeling better too.

That's for sure. and you don't have any choice-no elevators except for the planes.
