What ship is he on? Has he checked with the Yoemans, NMTIS, and his duty section leader.

Yes, I have and he says nobody knows. I told him to try to ask around and he says he has but nobody knows which I find strange.

Hey everyone! My fiancé is in A school at Great Lakes and has to complete all his pqs and get three signatures by this Thursday (It's his 30 day mark). Anyways, he's having trouble getting a signature he needs from his EM1, he can never find him and has no idea what time he comes in each day. I know I probably won't get a straight answer but does anybody know what time he comes in each day or how to find him? If not does anyone have any other advice? He needs to get it all done by Thursday or he'll have his liberty card taken away from him. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, Thank you!

Thank you Anti M, I went thru the link LAG suggested and looked for DC also last night and I think that is his rating, my son keeps telling me he is taking engineering classes and that will start with welding next month but not sure how long he will stay in GL. Well, I am so glad all the help I'm having from all of you, I really appreciate.    Thank you!!!!

Just so you know, "fireman" is just the engineering equivalent of "seaman", the paygrade of E-3.  Not a thing in the world to do with fighting fires, other than every sailor is trained to do so in boot camp.   And not his rate/rating.  Welder is not a specific rating, so I am guessing HT or Hull Technician, or maybe DC, Damage Controlman.

Well that's still pretty basic info. Example my hubby is an MM (machinist mate) he had to go through BECC first which is basic engineering common core school and it is 32 days long. After that they hve their strand which is for their specific school. My hubby is also a fireman. That covers a broad spectrum of quite a few engineering jobs. So it really depends on his actual job. You said welding. I'm not exactly sure on that.

Hi Kiley91,

I'm just like him, completely lost! He is attending the engineering school, says he will start welding school in june (firefighter)

What is he going to school for? What's his job or rate?

Hi everyone,
I have a question, my son is currently in GL for A School, I would like to know how long it takes approximately to finish it? He does not have any clue... ☺
