littleAngel07 - if this is his first week there then he is probably in indock. The first week is a little different schedule then when they actually start classes. I honestly can't remember what time my husband would call when he was in indock.

Right now he is in ATT and he marches out at 6:30 and they finish on mon, wed, thur at 2:30, tues at 4:30 and friday at 2:45. They can not have their phone AT ALL during class. (unless they skip lunch which is11:45 - 12:45 and go back to their barracks)

Chris's Mom, You will need to send him a phone card.  Unless things changed since my son graduated last month a phone card is the only way they can make a call.  So pick one up and send it in his next letter.

LittleAngel07  New Sailors are very busy with school, duty and or watch. My son would call us at 7pm.

LittleAngel07....depends on what classes you are talking about. Our sailor in A school has "night" classes. Best bet right now would be to send him an email and ask him what his schedule is. Then you will know for sure!

My sailor directed traffic all day yesterday (duty day) b/c there were 100,000 civilians on base for a 4th of July event. Anybody else hear about it?

Sending my Sailor a dozen cupcakes for his 23rd b'day which he's celebrating at GL A school.  Wish I could be there to see vanilla frosting all over his surprised face.  Btw I ordered thru Cupcakes Ahoy which is right there in GL.  Found a link to them in my Alabama moms group, if anyone else is interested.

Chris'mom...when you find out what you son's PIR date is, then look for the group specifically for that graduation date. If you need any help, just holler!
