For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PGMB, that is a lovely prayer, and much appreciated. Some of us walk slightly different paths and there are days when it gets difficult to find understanding. Thank you and amen.

As we bless all military personnel and our country and celebrate the freedom we enjoy, let us also take a moment to reflect and celebrate our individual freedom and the freedom of people around the world and how we all interact. Here's a July 4th prayer to consider (feel free to substitute wording to your own personal beliefs):

...The freedom to be who I am and to express my thoughts and opinions is one of God's greatest gifts to me. Yet freedom of spirit is a gift that is meant for every child of God, and I can celebrate my own freedom by praying for and affirming the freedom of people around the world.

In my prayers, I pray that all people from all walks of life let go of judgements about the beliefs or customs of others that are different from their own. Instead, I see people the world over embracing he diversity that God created and finding the beauty in a variety of cultures.

I celebrate my freedom and the freedom of people around the world by encouraging others to express their individuality. I celebrate freedom for all through my loving actions, thoughts, and prayers. Amen and Happy 4th!...

But how wonderful that she got to participate. I guess it was a really special feeling for both the sailors and the vets alike. I always enjoy the pics that the TSC posts, as well as all the one's you post on your FB page!

Comment by Anti M on June 30, 2011 at 6:19pm: HARP is different than RAP duty. HARP is a set of orders and they are paid a bit, RAP is when they are home and can be five days maximum. I get them confused to this day. Also, they cannot combine RAP and holiday leave. There's tons of info on it around the internet.

Tiffany has done two now... last night she said the lady she escorted was a WWII Vet from the Marines... They posted the pics on the TSC FB webpage, my girl is the one without all the medals on her shirt :) and glasses, she said it makes her choke up... then the night before that, she was able to go to a IA homecoming at the airport, he had been deployed for over a year, I think, she that really choked her up too, the guy had two teens and she said what looked like a 5 year old... When you look at the FB pages it's so cool seeing all the Vets :)

kinda figured it still worked that way! (Hubby retired 20+ in the Navy and I did 10 in Air Force). They call always try for HARP duty (recruiter assistance) to not burn too much leave while they are home....
