Anti M - My chives thrive year to year to year....that's about the only thing I am having luck with....lol

Hoppi - I am so sorry to hear about your dog, Rue. I know how difficult the next few days will be for you.

Bugs ate my strawberries, but my raspberries are doing very well. I share a patch with a neighbor who never picks her share. I've had just enough lettuces and spinach and peas for a small salad or two, and some peppers. I don't know if the cucumbers and beans will make any more progress, although the carrots seem to be trying. I have most of my plants up in containers this year so I have fewer pests and weeds to battle. Oh, and a ton of volunteer chives!

Hi Dori - you are having about as much luck with your garden as I am having with mine. It's been so hot here. The quail got most of my garden as it sprouted...peas, beets, carrots. My tomatoes are doing just like yours...just sitting there. I'll try again in the fall. Have a wonderful day and send some chill my way please. :D

Lauren, Glad to learn you are back home safe and sound. You are wise to keep busy. It will help until you fall back into a routine.

Good afternoon, everyone! We are having a very chilly damp day here again. I am surprised that our garden hasn't rotted away. The tomatoes are just sitting there and have been since planted. The potatoes are doing well and the onions are fantastic. The hare ate all the pea plants.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!

Lauren - I'm glad you had a wonderful time in GL. The days will get easier with time. Your pictures are great and your little boy is so cute.

Melanie - I am looking forward to your email. You really did a great homecoming for DJ. I know he was thrilled.

Have a blessed day ALL....

Theresa - there's always a reason why things happen the way they do. And, Nick joined the Navy a month later than Michael, so Michael had a head start....even tho Nick wants to get that Penguin mascot...lmao Nick's turn is coming and will be just around the corner. I'm shutting down tonight and I'll talk with you tomorrow.....HUGS

Thanks, Will, that was just the kind of information and insight I was looking for (I just didn't know how to ask). I can now point her into the right direction!

Thanks, Will and Hoppi. I wasn't thinking of her missing school but rather a long weekend if she is on hold waiting to leave for A school, which will be in Pensacola. Right now she is doing her basic electronics course. She should be through by that time. I just didn't want her to have to take a long leave. Rather a leave of two days at most. I don't know whether is a minimum day requirement. I would imagine it would have to be a last minute plan because even if she is on hold, that could change rather quickly.
