Thank you Will....I am excited for Michael that the ball is rolling now. Of course, I am a little excited myself. Don't work too hard now....

Thank you all for your well wishes for Michael and A school. Your support means so much to me.
Melanie - I will look forward to your email. I was going to send you one today to ask how your weekend was. I know it was difficult to see him go back to base. San Diego isn't too far for you to make a trip out to visit. Start putting those coins in the piggy bank.

I'm going to call Michael right now and share his excitement.....

Vee, Great news on Michael classing up! I am sure he is excited.

Maggs, do you know where your son will be overseas? Is it a place you can visit? If so begin saving your pennies for a new adventure!

Dori... I think she can put in a request chit to ask for no duty, or to swap duty. We used to able to do that, I'm curious if it still applies!

Good morning! Okay, Vee, did you steal the sun again?

Welcome, Julie, you will find that this group is fun and we also get good information as well.

Hoppi or Will, I have a couple of questions. At the end of August, there's going to be a send off for my oldest grandson who is heading out for Marine boot camp. This is definitely not a family emergency. It will be within the 300 mile limit and on a weekend. So, it is possible that Victoria could fly over on Friday night and back on Sunday. Would she be able to "guarantee" no duty so that this could be done? Second, is there a way she could get a long weekend? It is not something she would want to take an extended leave for, even if she could get it.

Hello Julie and WELCOME to our group. We are happy to have you with us.
I am not familiar with FC, but my grandson is a GM and he took a few days leave between ATT and A school. It seems it took about 2 weeks or so to get his chit approved for his leave. He is still on hold for A school. I am sure Will and/or Hoppi can shed more light on this subject for you, so hang in there with us.
