One thing, you are supposed to check in with the housing office, even if you are renting and not planning on Navy housing. Hoppi and Will, does the TLA still apply? I know we got up to ten days temporary lodging allowance, although we did have to stay in approved hotels.

Kimberly, before Will and/or Hoppi jumps in today, what rate is your hubby? And, when does he graduate A School? They will be able to answer you questions when they come online. WELCOME!

good morning Pictures, Images and Photos

Lauren - Theresa was staying at the Navy Lodge, but she left really early this morning. She is sorry the two of you didn't connect. She missed her plane this morning out of Midway and called me when she got into Atlanta and was waiting for her next flight to Florida. We will be hearing from her later. Can't wait to see her pics.

A HUGE WELCOME TO JEAN - We are glad you joined our little extended family where you will meet the greatest people and get all your questions answered. I don't have the answer to your one about the forwarding of mail, but I think Hoppi posted a comment about that a few pages back. Congratulations to Sean on his PIR. What rate is he going for? You are a biker mom? There are a few of us on here whom you will get acquainted with.

Brenda - my weekend was great; how about yours? I hope you are well my friend.

Dori - Enjoy your beautiful sunny day. It's gorgeous here, too.

EVERYONE - make it a great day!! And, God bless our sailors....

Hi Laurie,
Long time, no see! How are you doing? How is Josh doing? Did you have a nice weekend and did you ride? Missed you a lot.

Hi Dori - it always makes for a better tourney when Tiger is challenged, but he still remains my favorite...Just like Derek Jeter is my favorite ball player. Hope your day is restful...

Vee, I'm kind of cheering for Kim. Really don't care but it's good to see Tiger challenged.

Lauren, When I was a kid learning military time, I just remembered that if the time was greater than 12, e.g., 1300, subtract twelve from the first two numbers. So let's say the time was 2244, subtracting twelve from the first two numbers gave me 1044. Because the military time was greater than 1300, I knew it was 10:44 p.m. Actually, I usually just subtracted two from the second number and adjusted from there. I find I still do that today.

Hi Will - Theresa was so excited to get to meet you and see the Enterprise. She says the murals are AWESOME!!! She and Nick got to meet up with Michael so she was able to give him a big HUG from his Grandma. Michael's ship and Nick's ship are "friendly rivals", so that made their meeting interesting. Nick wanted to get his hands on the Porter Penguin, but Michael said "no way" so they met on the Wisconsin instead of the Porter....too funny!

Hope you and Vicki had a super wonderful day today....I love Starbucks myself, but have to drive 18 miles to get to one.
