Hi Maggs, it appears that your son and a few more are sick right now. I wish all of them a speedy recovery. I know you are enjoying hearing from him more frequently now. Getting through BC was tough!!!
Everyone, have a great evening!

Thanks Hoppi. I was kinda sure but you know I like certain info. I was just worried on the ET/FC group, with moms planning to fly their kids home. I know they want to see them, but I hate the thought of them potentially getting in trouble. Not like this site is secret or anything!

Hi Julie - No, GSM is different than GM. GSM is Gas Turbines System Technician-Mechanical; GM is Gunners Mate. Here is a link where you can find out about it...Hope this helps.....Vee :~}

Okay, this is being discussed on another group and i thought I could get a solid answer here: What do the regulations at Great lakes say about travel while on liberty? What are the mileage restrictions? Is it 300 miles? More? Less? Is the reg posted online somewhere?

I don't currently have a sailor at Glakes, so I don't have the info for there and I know it varies from base to base, or even individual commands.
