Will - thanks for the Mothers Day wishes! I have heard from all 3 of my kids today, but won't be with any of them because of the distance. However, in 2 weeks, we are having a family reunion in SoCal and that will be great...Only one that won't be there will be my sailor grandson.
Gail...welcome back! I hear you when you say you spent a lot of time on N4Ms and then get backed up on things around home. Your garden sounds wonderful.
Everyone else...have a great day!

Good Morning everyone! And a big HOOYAA to all the beautiful Moms, Grandmoms and wives that may someday be a mom too! Happy Mothers Day from my wife Sharon and myself. When you get right down to it, this site wouldn't be here if weren't for all of you. On behalf of the Dads on here, thanks for putting up with us and allowing us to put in our 2 cents worth. All you Moms out there are the backbone of this great country. Without you, there would be no fighting force to defend this great country of ours. So, when someone thanks a member of our military for serving, they are in fact thanking you for your support of your child in their service to the US of A. I am PROUD to be a Navy Dad but even prouder to married to a Navy Mom! Godspeed to all of you and yours. Bill and Sharon

A very warm WELCOME to our two newest members (Lauren and Reva, I think).
Lauren - I believe my grandson completed Phase II about the time he was in SCC or soon thereafter. You will get used to all the abbreviations we use on here and for a great reference, check above in the Discussion Forums. There's a lot of info up there on various subjects to help you out. My grandson was a "grad n go" after his PIR and once he moved his belongings to the school side, he was able to spend the weekend with his parents. What is your S/O going to be in the Navy?
Karen - how great that Corey made it home for the weekend. I can just imagine the happiness in your home this weekend. What a wonderful Mothers Day gift.
I'm gonna shut down tonight and will catch all of you tomorrow....Vee

Will and Gary - you are too kind! I am still learning and just hope I can pass on what I do learn on here to our new members...
Will - you have a safe trip to Virginia Beach and enjoy that wedding!
Gary - my sailor has "dog duty" this weekend....
Back to watching Tiger golf....catch up later.

Hi Denise....I had to laugh reading your comment about Ben and TALK, TEXT, SLEEP....Those are my Michael's 3 most favorite things, too, and things he had to do without in his early Navy days...lol lol I wanted to just add something to Gary's comment about computers. If they don't have an access card, there are places on the base where they can connect and some of the ships have access points. I don't believe Michael has an access card, but he does find somewhere to get online. PS Michael is also 19...must be a 19 yr. old thing. Have a wonderful Mothers Day tomorrow.
