Maggs, when your son moves over to the school side, he will most likely be on Will's ship (barracks) for his SCC training. It's possible he will move 3 times on the school side before he gets to his ATT and A school training. My grandson is on his 3rd ship now and his PIR was 01-09-09. He just completed his ATT training Sunday and is on hold for his A school to be a GM (Gunners Mate). If you will look up above in the Discussion Forum, you will find lots of good information easily located by topic. Good luck to your sailor.

Maggs...a very WARM WELCOME to our unique group. I am glad you found us. Your questions will be answered on here and remember no question is a dumb question. Our leaders, Will and Hoppi, are the greatest and both are stationed at GLTC. They had a big day today with PT but will be on soon. Is your son now in Boot Camp? What is he going to be in the Navy?

Hoppi and Jacqueline..the lilacs are almost gone here, too! I snuck across the street to a vacant house and picked a few stems for an inside bouquet and they died within 2 days. That's the only drawback on lilacs...they don't last too long, but while they are blooming the fragrance is unforgettable.
Hi Brenda....everything is great here today; how about you?

Will, so you don't have to look down a few pages, Michael completed ATT School yesterday and it will be official tomorrow, Tuesday.

Gosh, Hoppi, I can't believe how many things are common in our lives. I grew up in Colorado Springs and both Grandmothers had lilacs in their yards...one of my fondest memories of those years. My next purchase here for my yard will be a lilac...the smell is heavenly...

Good luck on the bike tomorrow, Hoppi! And, I don't see why veggies wouldn't grow in a planter on the dock. We grow them here in our patios and back yards in planters. However, our garden expert Mr. Will knows much more about your area and growing veggies than I do....lol

Hey Will....WELCOME BACK!!! You have been missed, but let me say that Hoppi held up the helm excellently....Kudos to both of you for all you do for us. My prayers will remain with you and your family. It will be terribly hard on your Grandmother. PS You are OUR extended family, too...Best of luck tomorrow on your run....
