Hi all...Glad to be back. I went down to my daughter's for a couple of days (Michael's mom) to give her support. She misses him very much. He did call last night and talked to all 3 of us (his mom, his sister and me) which was wonderful. I showed Michael's 12-yr old sister the Navy for Mom's site and she started a group for sisters which I thought was neat.

Thanks Theresa and Roni for the welcome back....let's PARTY or HIT THE ROAD!! Vee

Will, I just talked to my son. He's planning on making a big model (53"?) of the Missouri since that's the ship where he's working. He's not aware of your modeling group. He's a GM2 there, doing his first instructing class on the 26th, he thinks. He likes doing models--that's one thing he enjoyed when he was a sand sailor in Afghanistan. He said this model will be big enough that he'll have to use his pickup to bring it in from Zion where he lives. Our recruiting office in Moline has a plane he made before he went to BC five years ago.

SWEET! Way to go Will and Hoppi! Congrats! Knew you both had it in you! Say Chris D, can all us moms here put in our 2 cents worth on their behalf and help give them a pay raise/rate to accommodate?!! Tee Hee Hee! After all, you may be the Head Honchos here, but even teachers get evaluated by the students, and in that case, I think it is hands down - an All Around Deserving A! Honestly you two, Bravo Zulo, you truly do deserve it! You should even get a new 'merit badge' look at the PR given for assisting families? Who else spends the time away from family and friends and goes to the depths of the world and back for us?! Thanks all of you!
Say Hoppi, do you think Will's Spam Sushi could withstand the "cooking" at the Melting Pot, or be a 'double dipper' thing?! (More like LADLE!!)
Night all, revel in the glory gang, this nights for you!

Kelly --- I gotta jump in here tonight now that Honda Gold Wingers have been mentioned cuz I am one. I've been a little mouse in the corner watching the comments about the Patriot Guard Riders. My S.O. and I belong to a non-profit motorcycle club locally and we were asked to ride with the P.G.Rs a couple of years ago for the funeral of a local fallen soldier. For 60 miles along our Hiway 395 from the airport to the high school auditorium where the services were held there were people in cars stopped waving flags; lines of people along the highway, etc. I've never seen anything like it. We didn't see any signs of the group who causes trouble, but were warned they might be there. And, yes, the Honda Gold Wingers are really nice people.....
